Daniel Germain


Since 1980, Dan has held numerous financial roles within the private manufacturing and public healthcare sectors. He was most recently the Vice President of Finance and Infrastructure at a 200-bed hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

Other positions held during his years of experience include Manager of Cost Accounting at General Electric, Director of Finance at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (1,200+ beds), Vice President and Chief Finance Officer at Credit Valley Hospital (now Trillium Health Centre), and Vice President of Corporate Services and CFO at Windsor Regional Hospital.


Dan’s responsibilities in hospital’s covered areas such as Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Medical Records, Materials Management, Facilities, Food Services, Laboratory Services, and Ancillary Services. In his financial roles, Dan has implemented patient costing systems, developed operational budgets for major construction projects ($350+ million), monitored construction funding and costs, and served on numerous government committees to refine hospital funding models.


Dan has also held numerous volunteer positions including Board Chair at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital (140 beds) and Board member at The Sharing Place (Food Bank).

Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. Dan is a Chartered Professional Accountant as well as a Certified Management Accountant.
