Medical treatments in the Turks and Caicos Islands are competitive compared to the United States and many other countries. The per diem daily rate for an inpatient is $475 a day for general and maternity ward and $875 for HDU. HDU (high dependency unit) is a step down from an ICU where critically ill patients are kept until they are stable enough to be transferred overseas for further treatment. Emergency room fees start at $280. This fee covers screening by a nurse and an evaluation by the doctor. Depending upon the triage level, this basic fee excludes any other charges such as labs, radiology or any minor emergency procedures. Consultation fees to see a doctor is $150. These fees are subject to change without notice. Please contact info@PLS-P-WEB02 for up-to-date estimates on any specific medical procedures.
Major airline carriers offer daily flights from different parts of the United States to Providenciales International Airport. Persons travelling from Central and South America, United Kingdom and the Eastern Caribbean can arrive in less than 24-hours, based on travel arrangements.
